On May 22, 2013, the 68th Yokozuna Asashoryu Dolgorsuren DAGVADORJ has received his Democratic Party (DP) membership card, the card was handed over by Minister for Industry and Agriculture Khaltmaa BATTULGA. 

According to regulations of the Law of Election, the three candidates accredited by General Election Commission of Mongolia (GEC) have received their certificates to run in the Presidential Election of Mongolia and official campaign starts from today on May 22, 2013. 

On May 20, 2013, the Marshal (Speaker) of Senate of the Republic of Poland Mr. Bogdan Michal Borusewicz, who is conducting a four-day official visit to Mongolia until May 23, met with the Speaker of the Parliament Z.Enkhbold, President Ts.Elbegdorj and Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag respectively. 

The Sixth Presidential Election of Mongolia is set to be conducted on June 26, 2013. The General Election Commission of Mongolia (GEC) accredited the names of three candidates on May 17, 2013. 

At the invitation of the Speaker of the State Great Khural (Parliament) Z.Enkhbold, the Marshal (Speaker) of Senate of the Republic of Poland Bogdan Michal Borusewicz has started his four-day official visit to Mongolia from May 20, 2013.

Few days ago, the 10th consultative meeting between the Defense Ministry of Mongolia and the Pentagon, United States Department of Defense was held in Washington DC, where Mongolian delegation led by Deputy Minister for Defense Mr. Avirmed BATTUR made a statement regarding the meeting summary on May 17, 2013. 

According to the upcoming Presidential Election to be organized nationwide on June 26, 2013, the General Election Commission of Mongolia (GEC) made a statement on May 13, 2013. 

The General Assembly adopted by consensus the United Nations Global Plan of Action against Trafficking in Persons in July of 2010. Later in December 2012, the General Assembly decided to convene a high-level meeting of the General Assembly in order to assess achievements, gaps and challenges including in the implementation of relevant legal instruments. 

On May 14, 2013, President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj accredited newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary from the Republic of Kazakhstan to Mongolia Kalybek Ibragimovich Koblandin, who handed over a Letter of Credence. 

On May 13, 2013, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) has opened an election observation mission in Ulaanbaatar to monitor the Presidential Election of Mongolia to be held on June 26, 2013. 

According to Japanese FNN Agency reported on May 14, 2013, the Government of Mongolia has resolved to deliver food aid to the People of North Korea at its Cabinet meeting held last Saturday, May 11. 

On May 13, 2013, the Speaker of the State Great Khural (Parliament) Z.Enkhbold received the Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Sadik Yakut in the Government House. 

Recently, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mongolia L.Bold received at his office OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) Secretary General Lamberto Zannier. 

At the regular Cabinet meeting held on Saturday, May 11, Mr. Tserendorj JAMBALDORJ was appointed as the Permanent Representative of Mongolia to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). 

On May 12, 2013, Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag received President of the state-run Russian Railways company (RZD JSC) Vladimir Ivanovich Yakunin, who had a six-hour visit in Ulaanbaatar. 

On May 11, 2013, Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) resolved its decision at the MPRP Assembly meeting, whether to participate independently or follow one of the leading political parties (DP or MPP) during the upcoming Presidential Election to be held on June 26, 2013.

On May 10, 2013, at 07:00 pm during the afternoon plenary session of the State Great Khural (Parliament) an unscheduled issue to approve two candidates' memberships of the Parliament was submitted after the disputes continued to date since the 2012 Parliament Elections.

The fourth political party that has two seats in the Parliament - Civil Will Green Party (CWGP) concluded its National Committee meeting that was held behind the closed doors on May 10, 2013.

On May 10, 2013, the VI Assembly meeting of Mongolian National Democratic Party (MNDP) held at the Chinggis Khaan Hotel, Ulaanbaatar, due to regulations any political party having seats in the Parliament should announce its candidacy for the upcoming Presidential Election of Mongolia prior May 10, 2013. 

On May 09, 2013, Minister for Finance of Mongolia Ch.Ulaan has worked in Istanbul city of Turkey and during his visit Minister was received by the First Deputy Chairman of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Assembly Mr. Ahmet Selamet. 

On May 10, 2013, the plenary session of the State Great Khural (Parliament) held its regular meeting and the first issue discussed was promoting a candidate for the Deputy Speaker of the Parliament representing the Democratic Party (DP). 

On May 09, 2013, the State Councilor of the People's Republic of China Mr. Yang Jiechi was received by the Prime Minister of Mongolia N.Altankhuyag and President Ts.Elbegdorj respectively in the Government House. 

Today, May 09 is the Victory Day marking the 68th anniversary of the Allied victory over the Nazi Germany, which remains a significant event not only in the territory of former Soviet Union, but also beyond including Mongolia. 

Chinese delegation led by the State Councilor of the People's Republic of China Mr. Yang Jiechi is conducting a two-day official visit to Mongolia, where Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia and Chairman of Mongolia’s part of the China-Mongolia Intergovernmental Commission, D.Terbishdagva received the delegation in the Government House on May 08, 2013.
