Earlier it was informed that the Head of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP) N.Enkhbayar had officially stopped his hunger strike on Monday of May 14, 2012, and was submitted for intensive treatment at the Second General Hospital. But currently his health conditions are not greatly improving. His body is responding very slowly to the treatments given to him and he has lost more weight than before.  

Yesterday on May 17, 2012, the General Election Commission of Mongolia (GEC) has handed over certificates to the parties and coalitions to run in the Capital City Representative Khural elections of 2012 as a proof of their official participations.  

An open day event organized by the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia was held at the Sukhbaatar's Square yesterday on May 17, 2012. Within the scope of the "People's governance together with its citizens" campaign the Ministry hosted the event with a purpose to report their work done in past 4 years and its accomplishments to the civilians and to receive their comments, complaints and proposals that are potential to become an actual work.

The 3166th Foreign Affairs Council meeting of European Union was held in Brussels, Belgium on May 14, 2012 where it has been resolved to establish a Framework Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation between the EU and its member states, of the one part, and Mongolia, of the other part, and agreed as follows:  

The Defense University of Mongolia (DUM) with a 90-year long history awarded the Member of the State Great Khural (Parliament), former minister of the Defense of Mongolia L.Bold with its Honorary Doctor. The University said this title was given to L.Bold in evaluation for his legislative reforms, investment, moral and other supports and activities made in the defense sector over the past few years.

The Ministerial Meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) was held in Sharm El-Sheikh, the Arab Republic of Egypt, on May 07-10, 2012. The Head of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party (MPRP), the third President of Mongolia N.Enkhbayar, who was arrested for corruption convictions and had declared a hunger strike, was released on bail yesterday at 03:30pm. 

The right to participate in the 2012 Parliamentary elections for the eligible Mongolian citizens residing abroad was verified with the Mongolian Parliamentary Election Law ratified by the State Great Khural (Parliament) on December 15, 2011.

The trial of the Secretary General of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party N.Udval was held behind closed doors at the Sukhbaatar District Court today on May 11, 2012. The trial was conducted by the Sukhbaatar District Court Judge Ch.Khosbayar and O.Baasankhuu, an advocate for the defendant.

As stated in the 23.3 Article of the Law of the State Great Khural (Parliament) Election of Mongolia, "A political party or coalition to participate in the Parliamentary Elections shall follow the Constitution of Mongolia, Parliamentary Elections Law of Mongolia, Law on Central Electoral Body, Administrative Liability Law, Criminal Law, and other legislations and have to submit their requests in the form of writing prior 50 days before the polling day to the General Election Commission of Mongolia".

The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj and the Prime Minister of Mongolia S.Batbold have expressed their condolences respectively to the unfortunate deaths of rescuers, who were smothering the wildfire that occurred in Dornod aimag.

Political parties and coalitions are officially submitting their request to participate in the 2012 State Great Khural (Parliament) Elections to the General Election Commission of Mongolia.

Already 24 days have passed since the Head of the Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party, 3rd former President of Mongolia N.Enkhbayar was taken in custody in Tuv aimag detention center on April 13, 2012. Preliminary he was detained for a period of 14 days but then was suspended into 2 months.
