According to Bloomberg reported on May 15, 2013, Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi JSC will begin this year to mine Mongolia’s West Tsankhi coal area as part of the debt-laden company’s plan to ramp up output and pay off money owed to Aluminum Corp. of China Ltd. 

On May 13, 2013, Dutch Development Bank FMO, Trade and Development Bank of Mongolia (TDB), IFC, a member of the World Bank Group, Mongolia Bankers Association (MBA) and the Banking and Finance Academy (BFA) launched a sustainable finance forum to promote green growth in Mongolia as the country develops.
