Ministry of Culture of Tuva Republic of Russian Federation is about to organize a “Felt Festival” on August 13-15, 2011. This festival is dedicated for the 90th year anniversary of Tuva Republic, and people of Tuva, Khakassia, far Altai as well as Mongolian felt makers will attend in this festival.
Also, there will be a Ger exhibition and lessons on making felt. Furthermore, the best crafted Ger will be nominated. Mongolian herdsmen will attend this festival by showing their methods of making felt and introducing and explaining it. Ministry of Culture of Tuva Republic is planning to receive as many tourists as possible on this special occasion and organize a course to introduce the felt its origin and man-made items to tourists.
Besides, Ethnic Mongolians’ wrestling festival will be held on 12th – 14th August in Kyzyl City of Tuva where wrestlers from Mongolia
, Inner Mongolia, Tuva, Khalimag, Buryat and far Altai will attend the festival and athletes from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz will possibly participate in.
