
The 26th Summer
Universiade was hosted by Shenzhen, People’s Republic of China between August 12 and August 23 and 170 Mongolian sportsmen and sportswomen will participate through 15 compulsory sports of track and field athletes, gymnastics, swimming, table tennis, volleyball, tennis, judo wrestling, shooting, cycling, target archery, chess, aerobics, taekwondo and weightlifting.
Chess grandmaster B.Munguntuul, T.Batchimeg, International master of sports B.Gundavaa, D.Yanjindulam, Ts.Batchuluun, International master of sports for judo wrestling O.Chinbat (60kg), B.Khishigbayar (66kg), B.Munkhtuya (+78kg), International master of sports for shooting T.Bayartsetseg, Ts.Khongorzul, G.Kherlentsetseg, D.Bishrel, D.Enkhzul and International master of sports for gymnastics M.Enkhmunkh are among the Mongolian team for the 26th Summer Universiade. Also, 4 coaches from Mongolia D.Battulga (coach for judo wrestling), B.Oyun and G.Eruultbat (coaches for aerobics) and L.Otgonbaatar (coach for taekwondo) will be involved in this year’s Universiade.

Mongolia has been participating since 1965 with the total of 15 medal winning results inc. 6 gold, 3 silver and 6 bronze medals.
