Infomongolia.com : Mongolia, Daily news, Information about Mongolia, Mongolian language lessonsThe Embassy of Mongolia to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland along with the Lingua Global Company are going to organize “Mongolian Cultural Heritage” and “Mongolian Throat-Singing Festival” in London between July 19 and July 20 in accordance with the recent registration of Mongolian throat-singing in the UNESCO World Heritage. The objective of this event is mainly focused on promoting throat singing (Khoomii) to the world arena which is considered as a unique cultural and traditional heritage of Mongolia. 
Honorary artist and throat singer D.Tserendavaa from Chandmani sum, Khovd aimag of Mongolia, where throat singing has originated and the ethnic ballad group “Khusugtun” of  the National Folk Song and Dance Academic Ensemble of Mongolia will participate in the festival by invitation. The documentary film “Mongol Khoomii” which was produced by the Mongolian outstanding ethnomusicologist J.Badraa in 1986 will be showed during the festival. 
Elsewhere, the professor and musicologist Carl H.Pegg from the Cambridge University, the freelance musician and throat singer Michael Ormiston from the United Kingdom and the overtone and throat singer Borg Diem Groeneveld from the Netherlands will make a presentation about Mongolian throat singing; at the same time, throat singers Michael Ormiston, Candida Valentino and Borg Diem Groeneveld will perform some throat singing during the closing performance of the festival in Great Britain.
