The Business School “Insead” has reported the Global Innovation Index 2011, recognizing the key role of innovation as a driver of economic growth and prosperity on early of July 2011. The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) of the United Nations, the Confederation of Indian Industry, Booz & Company and Alcatel-Lucent support INSEAD as Knowledge Partners in the elaboration of the Global Innovation Index. The Report covers 125 economies, accounting for 93.2% of the world’s population and 98.0% of the world’s Gross Domestic Product (in current US dollars) where Mongolia stands at 68th. In first place stands Switzerland and Sweden, Singapore and Hong Kong follow, but in the Top 10 were Finland, Denmark, US, Canada, Holland and Great Britain as well. Mongolia was at 105th in 2009, 87th in 2010 and this year at 68th.
