During the routine meeting, the Head of Ulaanbaatar city Education Department D.Enkhbayar had informed about the current status of the winter preparation, specifically about the repair works of schools and kindergartens under the cost of 1.5 billion MNT for 16 schools, 26 kindergartens and 2 sports committee buildings. At this stage, the repair works for 5 schools and 15 kindergartens in Ulaanbaatar have been completed so far and the rest will be done by August 20th which is as deadline requirement. 
A total of 9,802 children have been spending their summer vacation in eighteen Children’s Camps under the weekly cost of 90,000 MNT to 100,000 MNT; at the same time, the 12 million MNT was budgeted for 500 orphan and half-orphan children’s summer vacation in the children’s camp at the initiative of the Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city G.Munkhbayar. The General Manager of Ulaanbaatar city Ch.Bat has informed that the Children’s Camps will be closed by August 15th and the winter preparation works will be completed before September 15th 2011.  
The Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city G.Munkhbayar noted “We must pay more attention on the biggest construction works under the ongoing process at the moment. Most importantly, we need to pass the winter without any carbon smoke through the Bayangol, Chingeltei, Sukhbaatar and Bayanzurkh districts. Therefore, together we must stand against the inhaling of smoke from burning coal across Ulaanbaatar city with full efforts”.
