Government Structure 2008 - 2012
According to the “Decree on Government”, “Decree on Government Agency”, and “Decree on Approving the State Administrative Units its’ structure and regulatory” by State Great Khural (Parliament) approved on December 19, 2008 the Government decrees to establish the Government of Regulatory Agency and Implementing Agency of Mongolian Government that were issued on December 24, 2008.
Due to the decrees the Government policy characters and regulatory are focused under duties of the Government of Regulatory Agency, and functional duties are under Implementing Agency of Mongolian Government respectively.
Government of Regulatory Agency is responsible to implement, follow and take measures on the laws, decrees and standards. The regulatory duties are implemented by state administrative organs only. Thus, the Government of Regulatory Agencies (12) are fewer than Implementing Agencies of Mongolian Government (31).
The Implementing Agency is responsible to implement the policy of a certain department. In particular to execute the agreement established between the states owned organization, NGOs as well as private sector organization.
