The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj met with the Chairman of the National Transitional Council of Libya Mustafa Abdul Jalil during the 66th regular session of the UN General Assembly on September 21st and exchanged views and opinions on conducting effective democratic transitions and stable democratic governance accordingly.

Mr. Mustafa Abdul Jalil has noted “We will be very glad if you visit Libya and share your extensive experience to establish successful democratic governance as per the leader of a democratic country which now leads the Democratic United Nations and we are ready to cooperate with Mongolia and want to turn the attention of the Democratic UN to our country”. President Ts.Elbegdorj appreciated the proposal and expressed the willingness to share his built-up experiences of successful democracy, said the Press and Media Department of the President of Mongolia.

Elsewhere, the President has also met with former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright; through which, the former Secretary of State wished success to Mongolia’s leading role in the Democratic UN as well as having noted that all further supportive measures will be taken for Mongolia’s successful commitment to the Democratic UN in full scale.
