The GM-AVTOVAZ (joint venture company in Russia between US General Motors and Russian AvtoVAZ) is going to organize the Chevrolet automobile trip through the routes Irkutsk – Baikal Lake – Ulan-Ude – Ulaanbaatar – Gobi Desert – Beijing – Shaoling Monastery - Shanghai for 10 days in regard to the 100th anniversary of Chevrolet Brand and the trip will start at 12:00pm from Irkutsk city, Russian Federation on October 20, 2011. 

The Managing Director of the GM-AVTOVAZ, Jeffrey Glover will participate in the trip and participants noted that the Gobi’s rocky and bumpy road across Mongolia is the most concern through the whole route of the trip, during their recent interview with Russian magazine “Za Rulem”. 
CJSC GM-AVTOVAZ started its existence from the 27th of June in 2001 when the general framework agreement was signed by representatives of General Motors, AVTOVAZ and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. A Joint Venture was set up at the foundation meeting on the 30th of July in 2001 and was registered in the Russian Ministry of Justice on the 2nd of August in 2001.
