Kh.Tsagaanbaatar grabbed a Bronze medal at the Grand Slam Tokyo
The three-day International Judo Tournament in Tokyo with participation of 399 athletes from 62 countries finished yesterday on December 11, 2011.  
A total of 16 judoists from Mongolia (10 male and 6 female) competed at this year’s tournament where only one athlete Kh.Tsagaanbaatar could have a chance to grab a Bronze medal in the 66 kg category.  
In the first round of the tournament, Kh.Tsagaanbaatar was matched against Tomasz Kowalski from Poland and defeated him. He made it to the quarter-final after beating the Canadian Michal Popiel by a wazari point and in the quarter-final Kh.Tsagaanbaatar won the French Dmitri Dragin again by a wazari point as well. And with the win, he was qualified for the semi-final. In the semi-final Kh.Tsagaanbaatar lost to Tomofumi Takajo from Japan and received a Bronze medal. 
The last big tournament of the year World Judo Grand Prix 2011 will be held in Qingdao, China on December 16-18, 2011.
