With today's foreign currency auction, commercial banks submitted requests to the Bank of Mongolia to sell 1.5 million USD and 28.5 million CNY and to buy 2 million USD.

However, the Bank of Mongolia did not participate in this trade as it deemed that USD and CNY demand and supply was stable in the domestic currency market. Also, commercial banks did not submit proposals to make foreign currency SWOP and Forward agreements.

The Bank of Mongolia regularly holds foreign currency auctions on Tuesday and Thursday of each week, where the participants are commercial banks that are permitted with banking operations and run their activities on the Mongolian territory.
