D.Altankhuyag to perform with Japanese balletMongolian Merit Actor, ballet dancer D.Altankhuyag rarely performs in his home country, Mongolia. However, there is good news for his fans as D.Altankhuyag will be performing in Mongolia next month.
The “Komaki Ballet, D.Altankhuyag in Mongolia” performance, dedicated to the 40th Anniversary of Mongolia-Japan Diplomatic Relations is to be held on June 08-09, 2012, at the Central Cultural Palace.
The very first ballet company, the Komaki Ballet Company, was established in 1946 under the name of “Tokyo Ballet”. The ballet cooperation between Mongolia and Japan first started as the founder of "Komaki Ballet" Company, Masahide Komaki invited the Mongolian People’s Actor, Hero of Labor, and State Prized B.Jamiyandagva to participate in an international ballet competition held in Japan in the early 1970s.
The third generation director of So Kikuchi made a visit to Mongolia in 2002, where he invited Merit Actor D.Altankhuyag to perform in Japan in the scope of the 30th Anniversary of Mongolia-Japan diplomatic relations. In 2007, at the 35th Anniversary of Mongolia-Japan diplomatic relations, D.Altankhuyag initiated and invited "Komaki Ballet" dancers to Mongolia with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the Japan Cultural Center.
This year, at the celebration of the 40th Anniversary of Mongolia-Japan diplomatic relations, the “Komaki Ballet" Company together with D.Altankhuyag is to come to Mongolia once again. D.Altankhuyag and “Komaki Ballet” dancers are to perform the “Sheherazade” and “Maddalena” ballets in Mongolia.
