An "Arts and Journalism" seminar under an initiation by the Arts Council of Mongolia with support from the USA Embassy in Mongolia and Open Society Forum is to be hosted at the Mongolian National History Museum on May 18-19, 2012.

The seminar will be carried out under the guidance of Douglas McLennan, the editor of the online “Arts Journal” from the USA, where presentations "Current stage of Mongolian arts journalism, challenges and opportunities”, “History of arts journalism” and “Objectives of western arts journalism, theory and practice” will be delivered.

Trainings on contribution to social development through arts journalism and how to use online technology, the new modern method to distribute arts and culture information will be organized in frames of the seminar. The seminar will be conducted in a form of conversation and dialogue. People’s Artist N.Jantsannorov, State Honored writers D.Batbayar and O.Sosor are invited to attend the “Arts and Journalism” seminar.
