
The World Metrology Day is celebrated on May 20th, which is the day of ratification of the Metric Convention 1875, signed by delegations of 17 countries. However, this day is to be celebrated on May 18, 2012, in Mongolia under the slogan "We will measure your safety", where the Mongolian Agency for
Standardization and Metrology will organize a meeting and a seminar.
State and private sector organizations and enterprises, such as the Ministry of Social Welfare and Labor, Ulaanbaatar City Specialized Inspection Agency, the Nuclear Energy
Agency, the Ministry of Defense, the
Ministry of Health, the General Customs Office, “Gobi” JSC, “Energy Resources” LLC, and “Khutulyn Tsement Shokhoi” JSC are to participate in this seminar.
During the seminar, the Head of the Strategic management and public administration department of the Agency for Standardization and Metrology P.Tungalag will hold a presentation under the topic “Health of labor, safety management, metrology”, and the state inspector of the Nuclear Energy Agency T.Baigal will also hold a presentation under the topic “Radiation protection and safety for medical workers interacting with radiation”. Also during the seminar, a documentary film named “Labor safety and sanitation management system of thermal power stations” will be shown and discussions will be held afterward.
