The centralized university entrance examination or so called General Entrance Exam (GEE) is scheduled to be held on June 08-10, 2012 across the nation.
As informs the Ministry of
Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia, this year 39,200 students are graduating from their high schools out of which 14,900 students are graduating in Ulaanbaatar and the remaining students are from the countryside. Out of the total graduates 43,087 students are registered to take the exam.
In detail 36,924 students are to take the maths exam, 31,321 students English language exam, 29,289 students social sciences and 24,190 students will take the physics exam.
According to the official’s statement, students who are to take the general entrance exam need to bring with them the below documents on the exam day:
- Registration certificate with authorized stamps
- Seat allocation ticket
- Secondary education certificate and higher education certificates if applicable
- Citizen’s Identification Card and other type of documents that can replace the ID card, examination takers who are under the legitimate age to receive the ID card and who will turn 16 after June 01, 2012 shall bring a reference letter with authorized stamps and signatures from the governor of the permanent place of domicile or from the director of the school they are graduating from attaching a self color photo taken within the last 3 months along with their certificate of birth.
p.s. Graduates from foreign high schools shall bring a permission letter approved by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia to take the exam.
In addition, correct answers for the exam questions will be posted on www.eec.mn and daily newspapers a week after the last exam date.
