The second Coaltrans Mongolia Conference has started today and will continue for two days on May 23-24, 2012, at Chinggis Khaan Hotel, Ulaanbaatar.
At the conference, presentations will be held by today’s
industry leaders such as CEO of Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi JSC Graeme Hancock, the President of Bechtel Asia Steven Kartzman and the CEO of Mongolian Mining Corporation Dr. G.Battsengel. A total of 103 domestic and foreign companies, from 20 countries, such as Australia, Hong Kong, the People’s Republic of China, Japan, Germany, Estonia and Switzerland, are participating in this international conference.
The two day conference is to be divided into 8 separate sessions, with 4 sessions slotted on each day. The first session will be held under the theme of “Government Key Notes”, where the Head of Finance and Investment Office,
Ministry of Road, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development of Mongolia Yo.Manlaibaatar will hold a presentation on “Infrastructures central role in the development of Mongolia’s coal mining industry”, the Director of the Department of Fuel Policy of the Mongolian Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy A.Erdenepurev will hold a presentation on “Understanding the crucial role of mining in Mongolia’s growth story” and the Chairman of the Foreign Investment and Foreign Trade
Agency of Mongolia B.Ganzorig will hold a presentation on the “Future outlook for the development of Mongolia’s coal mining industry”, followed by questions and discussions. The following three sessions allotted for Day 1 will be “Industry Keynotes”, “Supplying Meeting Demand” and “Accessing Finance for Successful Mining Projects”.
