Previously we had been informed that the "Golden stars of Great Mongolia-2" a friendly basketball match between Sumo and traditional Mongolian wrestlers under the initiative by the 69th Yokozuna (Grand Champion) Hakuho will be held today on May 23, 2012 but the match has been postponed by a day thus it will be hosted on May 24 at the Mongolian Wrestling Palace at 06:00pm.
Sumo wrestlers, headed by the 69th Yokozuna Hakuho M.Davaajargal, Ozeki Harumafuji D.Byambadorj and Ozeki Kakuryu M.Anand will compete against a team of high ranked traditional wrestlers including the State Great Giant G.Usukhbayar, State Giant S.Munkhbat, State Lions Kh.Munkbaatar and D.Gankhuag, State Garudas N.Ganbaatar and J.Bat-Erdene and State Elephants D.Ragchaa, M.Usukhbayar and Ch.Sanjaadamba.
Whereas the 2008 Beijing Olympic Champions N.Tuvshinbayar and E.Badar-Uugan, the World Champion Kh.Tsagaanbaatar and other well known figures in the sports, culture and social sectors are to compete in the mixed All Star match to promote a charity for the wellbeing of Mongolian kids. “
Golden stars of Great Mongolia-2” will be conducted in two stages, the first is a mixed All Star match among celebrities in the sports, culture and social sectors and the second is a match between Sumo and traditional Mongolian wrestlers.
The revenue from the match will be spent on purchasing 20 million MNT of equipment for the Child and Maternity Health Research Center and presenting stationeries and other school supplies to 1,200 children from orphanages and child foster homes. Organizers and sponsors of the match are “Hakuho” Fund, “Mon Laa” company “TLG-13” NGO and “Together towards success” NGO founded by the Olympic Champion E.Badar-Uugan, the World Champion Kh.Tsagaanbaatar and the State Merit Athlete B.Naranbaatar.
Meanwhile, the winner of the match among the audiences will receive a prize from Hakuho M.Davaajargal.
