N,Enkhbayar’s trial postponed until June 04, 2012
As it was informed previously, the trial of the third President of Mongolia N.Enkhbayar was scheduled to be held today at the Sukhbaatar District Court and the court hearing was supposed to start in the Judiciary hall of the Court. 
Many journalists from the press and media have gathered but most of them could not enter the hall. The general prosecutor of Sukhbaatar District Court S.Soyombo-Erdene had to lead the trial, where the Court sent its bill of particulars and issued a summons to N.Enkhbayar according to Article 231, part 231.1 of the law of criminal procedure on May 21, when the former president was under intensive treatment at the Second General Hospital, Ulaanbaatar. 
Later this morning, N.Enkhbayar’s lawyer O.Baasankhuu stated that his defendant N.Enkhbayar was unable to appear at the court under the reason of a bad health condition.
Former President N.Enkhbayar is being investigated under the following cases
- devaluating and appropriating an “Urguu” hotel (state-owned service facility)
- defrauding television equipment donated from Japan to Gandantegchinlen Monastery, later established TV9 channel using this equipment
- tax avoidance on importing books from South Korea
Afterwards, the Sukhbaatar District Court issued an order to postpone the trial until June 04, 2012.
