Three medals from the Asian Freestyle Wrestling Junior ChampionshipOn June 03, the Asian Freestyle Wrestling Junior Championship, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, has concluded after a 4-day of competition.
In this championship, which was the XV Male and X Female tournament, freestyle wrestlers have participated from 17 countries, including the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, China, Viet Nam, Jordan, Iraq, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, India and Japan.
A total of 11 wrestlers competed on behalf of Mongolia, whereas E.Davaachimeg received a Silver medal in the 51kg women’s category, O.Otgontuya received a Bronze medal in the 67kg women’s category and G.Iderkhuu received a Bronze medal in the 66kg men’s category.
By the way, E.Davaachimeg and O.Otgontuya both received Silver medals in the Asian Continental Junior Championships held last year in Jakarta, Indonesia.
