Foreign currency rates are currently stable in the domestic market
In the last few days, the demand and supply of foreign currencies in the domestic market was comparatively stable, thus in relevance with such conditions the Bank of Mongolia refused to participate in the foreign currency exchange auctions.
In particular, at the regular foreign currency exchange auctions held on June 05 and June 07, the commercial banks have proposed a request to buy a certain amount of USD and CNY, but the Bank of Mongolia denied the proposal considering that the demand and supply of foreign currencies in the domestic foreign currency market is stable.
As of today, June 07, 2012, the 1 USD rate at the Bank of Mongolia is at 1,315.13 MNT, Euro - 1,646.02 MNT, JPY - 16.16 MNT, GBP - 2,035.56 MNT, RUB - 40.52 MNT and 1 KRW is at 1.12 MNT.
Also, foreign currency rates are stable at the open foreign currency markets.
