Free trade agreement between Mongolia and Japan to be established
On June 07, 2012, the Deputy Chief of the Organization of Customs of Japan Shinichi Goto paid a visit to the General Customs Office (GCO) of Mongolia, where Sh.Goto met with the GCO Deputy Chief D.Oyunchimeg. 
Two parts have exchanged opinions on the measures implemented concerning the Mongolian customs organization reform, development of information technology and trade alleviations, and other issues such as combating intellectual property violations, selecting a customs accredited entity and customs and business cooperation. 
The Deputy Chief of the Organization of Customs of Japan has come to Mongolia on the issue of establishing a FTA (free trade agreement) between Mongolia and Japan. After the meeting, Mr. Goto familiarized with the Information Management center and the camera control centers. The two sides expressed their beliefs that in the future, cooperation will expand for the customs organizations and trade cycle will increase between Mongolia and Japan.
