Concert dedicated to the 85th of the birth of the People’s Artist, Ts.Namsraijav
The Laurel Gala Concert dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of the State Honored and People's Artist Ts.Namsraijav and 55th anniversary of the establishment of the Mongolian symphony orchestra is to be held at the State Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet on June 15, 2012. 
The concert will be organized in two parts. In the first part, pieces conducted by Ts.Namsraijav will be performed, where in the second part, the bests of Mongolian symphony orchestra will be performed. The concert is produced by N.Butenbayar, general conductor of the State Philharmonic, State Honored Worker, son of the People’s Artist, Ts.Namsraijav. 
Under the 118th decree of June 05, 1957 issued by the Ministry of Culture of People’s Republic of Mongolia, a symphony orchestra has been established next to the Mongolian Radio Committee and is considered to be the foundations for the forming of the State Philharmonic of Mongolia. The first conductor of the orchestra was Ts.Namsraijav and G.Birvaa was the first assistant conductor. 
People of Mongolia know Ts.Namsraijav for his marvelous pieces, the “Khaluun Elgen Nutag” or “My Motherland is in my Heart” and “Bayaryn Udirtgal” or “Festive Prelude” that are honored as the songs of the 20th century. 
Meanwhile, the 20th anniversary of the State Philharmonic since it has been named after the State Honored and People’s Artists, Ts.Namsraijav also falls in this year of 2012. 
Tsegmid NAMSRAIJAV was born in 1927. Since he was 10 years old, he went to work as a musician apprentice to the Mongolian first “Balloon Green” theatre. Ts.Namsraijav dedicated all his life to music, and his more than 50 years of work for Mongolian music arts enormously contributed to the history of Mongolian Arts and Culture. Starting his music career by playing Mongolian Khuuchir (type of string instrument), he eventually perfected acquired techniques of playing the valtorna. Soon, he started getting professionally involved in composing for symphony orchestra and became a pioneer in this field to compose the “Revolutionary Marche for Symphony Orchestra”, what he was awarded with the title of State Honored Artist of Mongolia in 1951. In 1981, Ts.Namsraijav was awarded the highest State Honored Title of People’s Artist as well as a “Polar Star” order and several Revolution Anniversary Medals.
During his life Ts.Namsraijav created a great number of music work such as music pieces, valses, a symphony for children, more than 10 songs and music for the whole range of fiction movies such as “Three Friends“, “One of Thousands”, “Trance of Human”, “At the Sunrise”, “Transparent Tamir”, “At the Beginning of a Road”, ”Soldier’s Routine”, “Tale of Bushkhuu”, “Dust of a Big Road” and many others.
