The first Singaporean soccer player to play in Mongolia
According to the todayonline.com, a soccer player from Singapore, David Low has signed an agreement with the Mongolian "Khoromkhon" club. David Low, 28, is an experienced player who has previously played in the lower leagues of Thailand, Australia, Hungary, Germany and the United States.
He will arrive in Ulaanbaatar on this upcoming Sunday, June 17, 2012, where he will start preparing with his new team for the Mongolian League Tournament, which is to start on June 30, 2012.
David Low said, “Actually, I knew a little about Mongolian football, but playing for the club would be a good stepping stone for my career. Heard that the team I signed with received 4th place from the 8-team premier league tournament held last year. I will aid “Khoromkhon” with my experience from Asian, European and American leagues, and will try to reach the rights to participate in the AFC President’s Cup Tournament.”
Brian Lim, the sporting director of “Trebol Sports International”, who brokered the 3 month deal between David Low and the Mongolian “Khoromkhon” club, said, “Mongolian clubs usually sign players from Russia, China and Nigeria. David Low is the first Singaporean soccer player to play in Mongolia and, while working with Khoromkhon, we've also tried to help Singaporean players get opportunities overseas.”
