The Nature, Environment and Tourism Office of Uvurkhangai aimag, together with the Governor's Office of Zuunbayan-Ulaan sum of the aimag and DMD Mongolie LLC, are to organize the "Festival of sheep and goats" on June 20, 2012.

Many competitions will be held among domestic and foreign tourists during this event, which is to be organized in the livestock yard of herder Ts.Demberel, who is summering at a place named Ar Shand of Zuunbayan-Ulaan sum. 

Also, a fair of wool and cashmere products, handcraft and woodcraft works will be held at the festival as well. Moreover, with the purpose of attracting foreign tourists, a nomadic tent museum will be set from the local research museum. The part thought to attract the most attention of the attending crowd are the competitions that will be on, requiring skill with great speed. Competitions, such as milking sheep and goats, tying them together and trimming their wool, will be conducted, and the first place winner will be awarded with a sheep.
