Within frames of celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between
Japan and Mongolia, the Japanese "Earl Grey Film" entertainment had started its work on the making of the "The diaries of a young Mongolian baseball player” feature film about Japanese and Mongolian baseball players earlier of this year.
According to the Tokushima Shimbun newspaper dated on June 19, 2012, Yokozuna Hakuho
M.Davaajargal is to work as honored promoter of the movie. The script of the feature film was written by Sekine Jun and is based on a diary of a Japanese man, who had worked as a baseball trainer in Mongolia.
The film starts with ongoing process of construction works of the basketball field in Ulaanbaatar under Anan city administration’s support of Tokushima prefecture; that’s why film makers have decided to choose Yokozuna Hakuho to be the face of their feature film not only because of he is famous but also his wife is of Tokushima prefecture origin. Also the other reason, Hakuho has been intensively involved in a work to develop baseball in Mongolia for last few years. The film makers also took into consideration that Hakuho is planning to open a baseball school in Mongolia.

The diaries of a young Mongolian baseball player” film, but also will make a role in it. According to the sources, he will play in one of the main roles, not in a supporting role. Next month in July, the "The diaries of a young Mongolian baseball player" will be finished its filming in Mongolia, and then will complete the last shooting in Anan city in September, 2012. Officials said, the film will be released for public review in March, 2013.
