Yesterday on June 19, some districts of Ulaanbaatar city were hit by severe flooding after heavy rainfall particularly the territories of the  I, II, VII, XX and XXII khoroos (administrative unit of a district) of Songinokhairkhan district, the XV, XVI and XVIII khoroos of Sukhbaatar district and the XXI and XXVII khoroos of Bayanzurkh district. 

Board fences and gers of some residents of these areas were washed away. At the moment, the team from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) are working at the spots and rescuing people from the potential danger. The NEMA warns of more flooding addressing to the ger district residents, especially those who live close by to ravines and flood danger zones as heavy rainfalls are expected through this week in Ulaanbaatar.
