Young chess players received four medals from Asean Age Group Chess Championships 2012
The 13th edition of the Asean Age Group Chess Championships 2012 was held in Hue City, Viet Nam on June 10-19, 2012. Chess players from 9 countries have participated in the Championships. 
There were categories for U08, U10, U12, U14, U16, U20 and Seniors 50 groups, each with 3 events using different (Standard, Rapid, Blitz) time controls. A total of 8 chess players raced their intellects on behalf of Mongolia. Out of 22 chess players who participated in Rapid category for U20 girl’s group, International Master, World Students’ Champion A.Enkhtuul received a gold medal by winning 4 rounds, losing 1 and matching in 2 out of 7 rounds. 
Out of 35 players who competed in the Blitz category for U10 girl’s group, T.Munkhzul has become the East Asian champion with 8 points. Out of 55 players in the Standard category E.Baasansuren received a bronze medal in the U10 boy’s group by 6.5 points and B.Yanjinlkham received a silver medal in the Standard category for U16 girl’s group by 6.5 points.
Consequently, Mongolian chess players have returned to their home country with 4 medals: 2 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze from the East Asian Championships. However, A.Enkhtuul has stayed there to prepare for the participation in the Asian Chess Championships to be held in Sri Lanka on June 23-July 01, 2012.
