The Stanford College Professor, musicologist and conductor Jingdon Cai is to visit Mongolia once again at the end of this month. He had previously visited Mongolia, when he conducted the "Aida" opera in March 2012 and the
"Attila" ballet in November 2011.
This time, the famous maestro will work on three compilations. He will be conducting the symphonic orchestra of the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet on June 30, 2012, where he will be introducing an American classic. In the first half of his concert, Jingdon Cai will be playing traditional American music, in other words music that the people are most familiar and favorable of. He will be conducting music pieces of composers such as Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein and Leroy Anderson, which were never before played at the Theatre. In the second half of the concert, the maestro will introduce music pieces from a Hollywood style up to Broadway classics. These include the soundtracks of films such as “Star Wars” and “Titanic”, and other famous Broadway classics.
After his first concert, he will be conducting A.Adam’s famous “Giselle” ballet on July 01, 2012. Jungdon Cai will also be collaborating with Mongolian conductors at the Laurel concert dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Academician
