The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia released a statement on June 26, 2012.

In recent days, Mongolian press and media is rumoring about the dramatically increased
number of foreign workers in Mongolia, in particularly
workers from the People's Republic of China and reporting that the reason of an increase was due to the wrongdoing of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia. When issuing a visa to foreign nationals, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia and the Diplomatic Mission Offices of Mongolia across the globe strictly abide by the “Law of Mongolia on the Legal Status of Foreign Nationals” approved by the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia on July 08, 2010, and “The Procedure of Issuance of
Mongolian Visa” - the 338th resolution of 2010 by the Government of Mongolia. Hereafter, the Ministry officially stating that the number of the foreign workers in Mongolia hasn’t exceeded the allotted limits according to the Law of Mongolia.
Hereby, the Ministry is delivering cautions and addressing the press and media to be responsible and check the authenticity of their posts regarding the foreign relations of Mongolia, in particularly on foreign nationals in Mongolia by cooperating with the Department of Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia.
