This year a total of 512 wrestlers, who are aged 18 and above, holding legitimate insurances
in accordance with the complied law, are to compete in the wrestling tournament of the National Naadam Festival 2012, the 806th anniversary of the Great Mongol Empire and the 91st anniversary of the People's Revolution.
The registration of the wrestlers to compete in the wrestling tournament of the Naadam Festival
will take place at the Wrestling Palace on July 09-10, 2012. "The wrestler needs to bring 2 copies of passport size photos along with his wrestler's title certificate and needs to come in person for the registration. Hereby, we are delivering a notice specifically warning that if any wrestler fails to get registered within the given time, no additional late registrations will be conducted", informed the wrestling sub commission of the Organizing Committee of the National Naadam Festival 2012 and the Mongolian National Wrestling Union, today on July 04, 2012.
The Organizing Committee of the National Naadam Festival 2012 resolved to carry the doping and drug test for the wrestlers and horses participating in the Naadam Festival on July 12, 2012. In recent years the incidents of doping consumption
are still occurring, thus in order to inform about the dangers of doping usage, the committee is visiting the camps where the wrestlers gain their preparations for the tournament and are handing out the leaflets and booklets on the doping and drug danger.
According to the Committee, the tickets for the National Naadam Festival
will be on sale starting from July 05. The price for the tickets range from 2,500 to 12,000 MNT, depending on the date and the location of the seat, for instance the opening ceremony ticket costs 8,000-12,000 MNT, where morning tickets for the wrestling tournament on July 12 cost 2,500-3,000 MNT and the afternoon tickets cost 6,000-9,000 MNT, while the ticket for foreign tourists cost 25 USD.
