Circus Mongolia Khadgaa received the People’s Choice Award from International Festival
The "Echo of Asia" International Circus Festival has been hosted in Astana, Kazakhstan on July 01-08, 2012. It has been held for five consecutive years and became a memorable event in the capital’s cultural life. Troupes from China, Russia, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan demonstrated their skills for a whole week at the arena of the Capital Circus.
Each performance was a truly original show. The award panel and spectators enjoyed the best circus acts and attractions from six countries. According to the festival organizers, circus troupes and acts were selected in a way that they did not overlap each other and each performance impressed even the most sophisticated audience.
As organizers said, it was difficult for the jury to choose the best performances and that was why creative bands from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Mongolia, Russia and Kazakhstan all received prizes. The guests from the Moscow circus received the Grand Prix of the festival for their tightrope walking with a bear, where Circus Mongolia Khadgaa, the Circus Ciniselli and Circus China received the People’s Choice Award.
Circus Mongolia Khadgaa was awarded for their double air and ground contortion performance, which was produced by Ch.Khatanbaatar, the founder of the Circus and was performed by contortionists J.Tserendulam and A.Enkhgerel. The talented circus actors are to return to Mongolia on July 11, 2012.
Circus Mongolia Khadgaa was founded by Ch.Khatanbaatar in 2003, since then the group performed in several cities of Japan, Turkey, Ireland, Taiwan, France and Russia.
