The 16th Consultative Committee meeting of the Democratic Party of Ulaanbaatar city was held behind closed doors on July 08, 2012, where the main issue of the meeting was to elect the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Capital city. 

In the last three years the Democratic Party of Ulaanbaatar was chaired by Sh.Tuvdendorj and now he has to resign from his position as Sh.Tuvdendorj was elected as the member of the State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia by the Party List and took an oath last Friday (July 06, 2012). 

In the Consultative Committee meeting 97 members have attended out 135 and finally 96 members with 98.9% of votes elected E.Bat-Uul as the Chairman of the Democratic Party of Ulaanbaatar city. Furthermore, it is clear that Chairman E.Bat-Uul is to become the Governor of Capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar. 

Also, the first Conference of the Ulaanbaatar City Citizens' Representative’s Khural (City Council) was held today on July 09, after the Ulaanbaatar Citizens' Representative’s Election had concluded its results. At the first meeting Head of the Presidential Office D.Battulga has been elected as the Chairman of the Ulaanbaatar Citizens' Representative’s Khural. D.Battulga was nominated by the majority of votes, where his opponent was a candidate from the "Justice" Coalition L.Shagdarragchaa, but L.Shagdarragchaa withdrew his candidature. Other parties and coalition did not nominate anyone for this post.
