Former President N.Enkhbayar waits the decision of the Constitutional Court to become a member of the Parliament
On July 10, 2012, the "Justice" Coalition merged from the Mongolian People's Revolution Party (MPRP) and Mongolian National Democratic Party (MNDP) has released a statement at the press conference held in the State Palace.
At the press conference, Chairman of the “Justice” Coalition group at the State Great Khural (Parliament) D.Terbishdagva stated they were ready for a Coalition Government along with the
Democratic Party (DP). “The “Justice” Coalition is to establish a work group that will direct on establishing a Coalition Government. In the case of signing partnership agreements, a proposal will be delivered to include the Action Plan of the “Justice” Coalition into the Government Action Plan. Other details are not confirmed yet”, said D.Terbishdagva.
Also, when asked by reporters on the issue of three candidates elected from the “Justice” Coalition for Parliamentary Elections by the Party List and who currently
did not take an oath for the Parliament memberships, D.Terbishdagva gave an answer: “We will re-discuss the matter after the Constitutional Court makes it's decision on the case of refusing to register candidates from the "Justice" Coalition N.Enkhbayar, E.Batshugar and S.Narangerel by General Election Commission”.
Further added, “O.Baasankhuu, Ts.Tsolmon and Ts.Oyunbaatar, who have received their Parliament membership rights with the 2012 Parliamentary Elections, have not made their membership adjurations yet. It is because, the “Justice” Coalition has claimed for the Constitutional Court of Mongolia under the reason: the General Election Commission refused to register and submit the “Justice” Coalition candidates of
N.Enkhbayar (Head of MPRP), his son E.Batshugar and lawyer S.Narangerel for participation in the 2012 Parliamentary Elections. On July 09, the Constitutional Court discussed this matter and the case was postponed again on the grounds of, “The reason behind why the General Election Commission refused to register the named three candidates is uncertain. It is proper to further discuss this matter after collecting additional materials”. If the Constitutional Court deems the decision of the General Election Commission to be faulty, our coalition will promote N.Enkhbayar, E.Batshugar and S.Narangerel for
the members of the Parliament instead of O.Baasankhuu, Ts.Tsolmon and Ts.Oyunbaatar”.
