On July 19, 2012, the
General Customs Office (GCO) of Mongolia hosted a meeting on the commodities and articles with intellectual property infringement.
The Second Secretary of the Department of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Mongolia Kh.Lundenbazar, Deputy Director of the GCO D.Oyunchimeg, Director of the Customs Control and Risk Management Department of the GCO L.Delgerbayar, Director of the Public Relations Unit of the GCO Ch.Tamiraa, Captains B.Azjargal and B.Batnasan from the Criminal Police Department, Senior Specialist D.Gantumur from the Agency for Fair Competition and Consumer Protection, N.Tuvshinsaikhan and B.Oyungerel from the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Yu.Nyamjav a specialist from the National Association of Mongolian Societies of Consumer Rights Protection and other customs officers in designated routes have attended the meeting.
The representations of the affiliated organizations held extensive talks and discussed about commodities and articles with
intellectual property infringement, how to place control over them, mutual cooperation and exchanging information and data. At the meeting it has been resolved to deliver information and educate the public on commodities and articles with intellectual property infringement via media releases under specific frequencies. In conclusion, state and nongovernmental organizations within the sphere reached an agreement to collaborate and interchange information accordingly.
