Prohibition on new building construction in Ulaanbaatar
The Chairman of the Ulaanbaatar City Citizens Representatives Khural (Council) D.Battulga has released a decision on prohibiting new construction works in Ulaanbaatar city, which was delivered to the Specialized Inspection Authority of Ulaanbaatar city and Land Administration Department of Capital City on July 24, 2012. 
In accordance with the number of complaints issued by civilians addressed to the Chairman, the decision was released under several reasons impacting land licenses issued in the territory of urbanized area, forcefully removed children’s gardens to build new objects and also numbers of fences for new construction works are blocking the pedestrians’ sidewalks. 
In the decision it states, “In the near future, the implementation of the Memorandum established between the Governor of the Capital city and Mayor of Ulaanbaatar and the President of the High Council of Condominium Association of Mongolia, and the current process on allocating of free privatization land are to be discussed through the Citizens Representatives Khural. Therefore, within the term, please note not to start any construction works except for works funded by State and Capital city.”
