Speaker of the Parliament urged to solve the dispute issues of the post elections fairly
The newly elected Speaker of the State Great Khural (Parliament) Z.Enkhbold is busy these days, yesterday before noon he
received the administrations of the Bank of Mongolia, National Statistical Office and Mongolian National Audit Office to familiarize with their works.
Later that afternoon Speaker Z.Enkhbold received authorities of the General Election Commission and General Prosecutor Office of Mongolia respectively. At the beginning of the meeting with administration of the General Election Commission of Mongolia, the Speaker was appreciated for successfully organizing the
2012 Parliamentary Elections of Mongolia. Further noted, the Aimag Citizens’ Representative’s Khural Elections and Presidential Elections are upcoming soon, thus the Commission should work to strengthen its experience gained and to work promptly solving some issues within legitimacy. Also there has been exchanged thoughts on many issues such as how to organize the Aimag Citizens’ Representative’s Khural Elections as much as effective, to pay more attention on organizing with advanced methods, and determine how many mandates are most rational in each electoral districts, number of polling sheets and estimated expenditure.
After, the Speaker Z.Enkhbold met with the General Prosecutor of Mongolia D.Dorligjav and discussed ongoing disputes followed the post elections. The General Prosecutor gave clarification stating, “We have discussed the matter with relevant organizations and it will be solved as soon as possible. The dispute issues shall be resolved accurately and fairly, otherwise would impact on the following elections negatively. Moreover, some amendments on the law of the legal status of the
member of the Parliament should be carried out, unless we meet difficulties on the legal regulations. It will be resolved quicker if the bill promoted by the President of Mongolia would be committed through the Parliament”.
