25 million MNT for the best reports on forest wood smuggling
Within the frames of work to fight against forest wood smuggling, the Ministry of Nature, Environment and Tourism of Mongolia presented a Land Cruiser 100 SUV and a Russian UAZ van to the Investigation Division of Crimes Against Regulations of Environmental Protection of the State Investigation Department affiliated General Police Department. 
“Fighting against illegal forest logging is beyond one organizations capabilities. Thus, we are collaborating with police forces and fighting against it with their assistance. We will be cooperating with the media sector too”, expressed the Minister for Nature, Environment and Tourism D.Tsogtbaatar in his speech delivered at the presenting ceremony. 
Meanwhile, the Minister also said that any police officer who contributes the greatest in fighting crimes against nature and environment regulations, he/she will receive rewards accordingly. For instance, if an officer reveals irregularities and regulation breechings he/she will receive one million MNT reward. Moreover a reporter who releases the best reports, articles or documentary that investigates and chases up illegal logging will receive 25 million MNT or approx. 18.5 thousand USD.
