On July 31, 2012, the Vice Chairman of the
General Agency for Specialized Inspection (GASI) of Mongolia B.Erdenebilegt received the delegates from the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of Inner Mongolia, Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China (PRC).
Director of the Border Specialized Inspection Department, GASI L.Tugsbayar, Director of the Food and Agriculture Inspection Department, GASI Ch.Arildii and Director of Foreign Affairs Department, GASI B.Purevjav have attended the meeting. The PRC delegates, headed by the Chairman of the State General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the Inner Mongolia Zhin Fu, discussed the mutual partnership between the
GASI of Mongolia and the affiliated organization of Inner Mongolia, PRC, the partnership of border points of the two countries, the quality safety of exported and imported food products between the two countries, and violations and disqualifications that emerged during border point controls, and have negotiated on resolves and future procedures and projects. The two sides have stated to mutually cooperate and to pay more attention to the above issues, and to further consolidate mutual ties and partnership.
After the meeting, the Director of the Food and Agriculture Inspection Department of the GASI Ch.Arildii told the reporters, “This week, the delegates from China will familiarize with the operations of the GASI laboratory and meat producing factories. They will visit three meat preparation factories, one in
Ulaanbaatar city, one in
Arkhangai aimag and one in
Uvs aimag respectively. The delegations of our organization will visit China in September 2012, where we will run a risk assessment of vegetable and fruit product importer entities. By doing so, we will be enabled to import food products from safety and quality validated entities.”
