Jointly with experts from the University of Cambridge, the methodology training for the renewed curriculum on several subjects such as Nature Studies, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English Language are to be implemented starting from the 2012-2013 academic year in secondary schools with advanced studies of
aimags and
capital districts, has started on August 01, 2012.
Member of the Parliament, Minister for Education, Culture and Science Yo.Otgonbayar has made the opening speech for the training, where he noted, “The Government of Mongolia, together with the University of Cambridge, is administering the reform policy on
renewing the education standards, education content, curriculum, technology and methodology and on optimizing education management of primary and secondary schools within the legal frames of the international agreement established with Cambridge. This reform policy is aimed at creating a world level competitive Mongolian education system of the XXI century by combining the peculiarities of the development and base objectives, national treasury,
language, culture, tradition and customs under “Mongolian person” and “Mongolian education” together with the creative implementation of the Cambridge education service standards, methodology, technology and know-how.”
A total of 130 personnel, including experts and researchers from the Institute of Education of the Ministry of
Education, Culture and Science, the National University of Mongolia and the Mongolian State University of Education, specialists from the Ulaanbaatar City Authority of Education and top experienced teachers of general education schools of the nation, are participating in this training.
Following the training, a thousand
teachers training aimed at introducing the methodology of the renewed curriculum and providing the preparedness of teachers who will apprentice with a new content and program, will be held at the chosen secondary schools of each district of Ulaanbaatar city and aimags within August 2012.
