The second Bronze medal of the Team Mongolia by S.Battsetseg, Women’s 63kg Freestyle
On August 08, the Freestyle wrestling event started with the Women's category in the London arena, who is hosting the XXX Summer Olympic Games. 
Two freestyle wrestlers D.Otgontsetseg (48kg) and S.Battsetseg (63kg) representing Mongolia started their bouts yesterday, where World Champion, State Merit Athlete Soronzonbold BATTSETSEG achieved a Bronze medal in Women’s 63 kg category. In the Mongolian Freestyle wrestling history, this is the medal received after 32 years; moreover S.Battsetseg became the first female wrestler who holds the Olympic medal and also the first female with a World Championship title. 
In Qualification round S.Battsetseg (63kg) had a BYE and in the 1/8 Finals, she defeated Sylvie Datty-Ngonga Tara-Agoue from Central African Republic with 4-0; 4-0 scores in two periods. In the 1/4 Finals our wrestler gained a victory over GRIGORJEVA Anastasija (Latvia) with 5-0; 5-4 scores and qualified for next round. In the Semifinals S.Battsetseg (63kg) competed for the Silver medal bout against ICHO Kaori (Japan), who holds a World Champion title seven times and two times Olympic Champion (2004, 2008), where S.Battsetseg defeated her in two periods with 0-1; 0-4 scores, but she had a chance to wrestle for a Bronze Medal. In Bronze Medal Match S.Battsetseg (63kg) matched against DUGRENIER Martine (Canada) who is three times World Champion and three times World Silver medalist in the 67kg, but our wrestler defeated her in two periods with 2-0; 1-0 scores and gained another medal for the National Team of Mongolia.
Also, on same day in the same category Mongolian freestyle wrestlers D.Otgontsetseg had their first bout in the Women’s 48 kg and in her first round silver medalist from the 2011 World Championships D.Otgontsetseg defeated Columbian wrestler Carolina Castillo with 2-1; 2-0. In the Quarterfinals, our wrestler could not win over MATKOWSKA Iwona Nina (Poland) and lost in three periods with 1-0; 1-2; 0-4, and had to leave the arena. If the Poland wrestler wins her next round against Azerbaijani, our wrestler D.Otgontsetseg has a chance to continue in the Repechage match for a Bronze. 
Freestyle wrestlers from Team Mongolia successfully started thier beginning; today (August 09) Freestyle wrestling Women’s 55 kg and 72 kg events will be conducted, where International Master of Sports Sundev BYAMBATSEREN (55kg) and Merit Athlete of Mongolia Ochirbat BURMAA (72kg) will compete. In the Qualifications, O.Burmaa had a BYE and in 1/8 Finals she will meet against CALLAHAN Leah Mariem Lorraine from Canada scheduled at 13:42 by London time, whereas S.Byambatseren will have a bout in the Qualifications vs. MATTSSON Sofia from Sweden at 13:07 by local time or 20:07 by Ulaanbaatar time.
