A Prime Minister of Mongolia is the Senior Minister of the Cabinet in the executive branch of the Government. A Premier is appointed from the
State Great Khural (Parliament) of Mongolia. The first Prime Minister position was created in 1912, shortly after Mongolia declared its Independence from Qing Dynasty of China. After the revolution of 1921 Mongolian People’s Revolutionary Party held the full legitimacy to appoint the Premier.
Mongolian People's Republic was proclaimed on November 26, 1924 under the first Constitution of
Mongolia and it has been resolved to title the Prime Minister’s position as "Leader of the Executive Administration of People's Deputies Khural (EAPDK)". Later in 1946, the title had been changed into "Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Mongolia” and since the democratic revolution in 1990, the title of Prime Minister has been brought back.
Despite the different names, the Government equally recognizes all of them, who had served as Premiers, Leader of the EAPDK and Chairman of the Council of Ministers, as the Prime Ministers of Mongolia. Following is a complete list of all the Prime Ministers of Mongolia.
