Earlier the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science of Mongolia and the Cultural Ministry of the People's Republic of China have agreed upon mutually hosting cultural days in Mongolia and China respectively within 2012. 

Under this agreement in April 2012, Mongolian artists have successfully organized the Mongolian Cultural Month in Beijing that comprised of a full length cultural performance and an exhibition. Hence, this time the Cultural Month of China is to be organized in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia from August 29, 2012 till September 28, 2012. The official opening ceremony of the Chinese Cultural Month will take place at the Central Cultural Palace on August 30, where delegations from the Ministries of Education and Culture of both countries will be present. 

Within the frames of the event a Circus performance by China will be hosted at the ASA Circus on August 30 and a Chinese All Star pop concert will take place at the Central Cultural Palace on September 01. The Cultural Month events comprise of a photo exhibition from September 07-13, also Inner Mongolian cultural events and a week of Chinese films will take place during this time, where famous Chinese actress and pop singer Zhou Wei will perform.
