The "Bichees" joint project team, compounding of the International Institute for the Study of Nomadic Civilizations (IISNC) and scientists from Japan, had an excavation in Uvurkhangai aimag
on August 10-12, 2012.
During this excavation, the rare finding had been discovered in Uvurkhangai aimag of the Phags-pa script or Square Script, which was a unified script for the literary languages of the Yuan Dynasty and Uyghur Mongolian Script
records found from Zuunbayan-Ulaan sum, and an ancient Uyghur Mongolian Script record, found from Khujirt sum.
The IISNC has made preliminary determinations that the Square Script pertains to the XIII-XIV A.D. and the Uyghur Mongolian Script pertains to the IX A.D.
