Hungarian mathematician and scholar was awarded with “Honorary Professor of the National University of Mongolia” title
“Mongolian Academy of Sciences
and the Academic Council of the National University of Mongolia (NUM) have awarded the “Honorary Professor of the NUM” title to famous mathematician and scholar of Hungary
, Mr. Richard Wiegandt of the Alfred Renyi Institute of Mathematics at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences and a certificate was presented to him by the Ambassador of Mongolia T.Gandi
at the Embassy of Mongolia in Budapest,” informs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on July 23, 2013.
Academician S.Tumurbat was present during the awarding ceremony.
Academician R.Wiegandt effectively developed the ring theory in algebra and is one of the leading scholars in the world who made his own name in mathematical sciences. Working as scholastic research advisor and mentor to well-known Mongolian mathematicians and scholars such as R.Gonchigdorj
and S.Tumurbat, among others, Mr. R.Wiegandt has contributed greatly in the development and progress of Mongolian mathematic studies.
The above decision made by the Academic Council of NUM
expresses the appreciation and respect for the world renowned academician’s contribution to science on behalf of scholars of many generations of Mongolian mathematic studies.
