The Mongolian Military Song and Dance Ensemble
and Central Orchestra of the Mongolian Armed Forces are participating in the 65th Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, which is being organized in Edinburgh, Scotland on August 02-24, 2013.
Head of the Inspection and Assessment Department of the General Staff of the Mongolian Armed Forces Brigadier General, G.Enkhbaatar participated in the opening ceremony and met with the producer of the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo Brigadier, David Allfrey MBE and other officials.

representatives visited Scotland where Ambassador of Mongolia to United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, N.Tulga
accompanied by Tattoo chief executive, David Allfrey and Secretary of State of Scotland, Michael Moore and the troupe visited Hawick Cashmere, and saw the production of the cashmere goat
’s fine, supersoft undercoat being turned into luxury Scottish knitwear. The two countries discussed and exchanged views on cashmere supply improvements between both countries. A spokesperson for Michael Moore stated, “It was an initial meeting to exchange contacts, and see how Scotland and Mongolia
can work better in the future”. Hawick Cashmere’s managing director David Sanderson further added, “We are hugely interested in all the components that go into high quality cashmere goods. We have strong links with Asia and its cashmere supply routes and this visit offers us the opportunity to explore direct contacts with the cashmere supply from Mongolia".
