On September 17, 2013, Employment Service Center, a branch organization affiliated the Ministry of Labor of Mongolia responsible for employing foreign work forces and experts organized a meeting with authorities of the Representative Office of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and local entities employing work forces from the North Korea.
Mongolia signed the bilateral Memorandum to hire work force from the DPRK in 2007 and representatives of the Ministry of Labor and the Employment Service Center provided information and exchanged views about this Memorandum and the compliance with the Constitution of Mongolia and Cabinet resolutions.
During the meeting, organizations hiring foreign employees requested the necessity to increase skills and responsibilities of the DPRK work forces.
The Ministry authorities reminded the Korean Office regarding the raising issue that the workers in Mongolia to meet the requirements as cited in Article 4 of the Memorandum are insufficient and the Office has to focus on solving this issue.
