State Boxing Championship organized by Mongolian Olympic Boxing Federation was held for 7 days at the Central Sports Palace of Ulaanbaatar and finalized its winners on February 03, 2013. 

Regulation on monetary awards for athletes and coaches, who achieved in the Olympic Games, Regional Championships, World-Class Tournaments and National State Championships, was renewed at the Cabinet meeting held on February 02, 2013. 

Mongolian portal website GoGo.mn is organizing a "GoGo Music Awards 2013" event to be held at the end of this year, in the meantime the site will release a monthly most listened to 10 songs starting from January of this year. 

According to a decree No. 151 issued by the President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj (enacted on August 16, 2012), an athlete of Mongolia, who claims a medal from the Olympic Games, Paralympics, or the World Championships, will be granted a lifetime monthly pension.

The Hatsu or January Tournament of the Japanese Grand Sumo is ongoing in Kokugikan Palace, Tokyo, after the 13th day of the bouts the only wrestler leading the Top Division - Makuuchi with no losses is the Yokozuna Harumafuji or D.Byambadorj.

The Hatsu or January Tournament of the Japanese Grand Sumo is ongoing in Kokugikan Palace, Tokyo and today on January 18th between 03:00pm and 05:00pm (GMT+8) is scheduled its sixth day of the competition out of 15 day-bouts.

The Grand Sumo January Tournament of Japan to take place in Tokyo is starting on Sunday, January 13, 2013, meantime 16 new wrestlers were added in Sumo officially, where these debuts will compete each other for probably 15 days (depends on number of new wrestlers enrolled prior each tournament) in order to be ranked in the lowest Division (Jonokuchi) and to start wrestling from 2013 March Tournament.

The Grand Start of the Dakar Rally 2013 for Car-Bike-Truck-Quad is to start in Lima, Peru on January 05 through 20th of 2013, where two Mongolian bike-riders Damdinkhorloo BOLDBAATAR and Namchin LKHAMAA for the first time are to challenge in the world famous Dakar Rally. 

On December 26, the Japanese Sports Hochi newspaper concluded its survey and announced the "Best Sumo Wrestler of the Year", where the "Best Sumo Wrestler of 2012" was named the 69th Yokozuna Hakuho M.Davaajargal for his consecutive 6th year.
